Communion/Lord's Supper – First Sunday of each month.
Everyone who has accepted Christ as Lord is invited to
participate,
based on his or her conscience.
(Gluten-free bread/crackers served).

We are a small congregation, with less than 40 participants attending a mostly traditional Sunday worship service, that meets in a large historic sacred space. There is plenty of room for you, your friends and family to join us!

Please Note: During the colder winter months of January through March we typically meet for Sunday worship
in the library room adjacent to the  Sanctuary. This is a more intimate space which allows
us to save on the cost of heating the larger Sanctuary space.

Our Mission: Transformation

Transforming Lives -> Through Faith -> In the Risen Christ!

Looking for a Church Home?

As a "A House of Prayer for All People"

our mission is transforming lives through faith in the risen Christ!
-------------------------------------------

As an American Baptist church in a great urban, university and health care

community our IDENTITY IN CHRIST is shaped, in part, by:

Our Faith Traditions:

Believer's Baptism: An outward expression of faith in Christ, where those of age are
immersed in water, which symbolizes washing away sin, and then lifted up,
      symbolizing new life in Christ.

The Lord's Supper: We practice open Communion in remembrance of Christ's
sacrifice. All may partake based on his or her conscience, sharing in the breaking

of bread, the body of Christ; and the cup, the blood of Christ.
Priesthood of All Believer's: No one (pastor or priest) stands between God and us,
      but Christ alone.
Congregational Autonomy: We operate independently with minimal hierarchical
      structure.
Tolerance for differing views; to interpret scripture as led by the Holy Spirit.

Along with:

Inclusiveness & Hospitality: Welcoming & connecting people of diverse cultures
      to Christ.

Sharing Space: We glorify God and serve our community, in part, through the activity
that takes place inside the historic sacred place entrusted to our care.

Generosity: Tithing church rental & investment income in support of missions.

Compassion: for spiritual and physical needs.

Lives are transformed, by the grace of God,

when we accept the risen Christ as Lord and Savior --

cultivating a personal relationship with God.
